Get help

AirCheck is made by one person, and that person answers the email.

Email mail@hanneshennerbichler.de
Usually answered within one working day. There is no ticket system, no chatbot and no queue — it is just me, so write in whatever detail you like.

If you include your purchase email address and, where relevant, your macOS version and what audio interface you are using, I can normally solve it in the first reply.

Common things

I lost my licence key

Use the key recovery page. Enter the email address you bought with and your key is resent immediately. Every purchase is indexed by email precisely so that you never have to wait on me for this.

My key never arrived

Check the spam folder for a message from licence@aircheckaudio.com, then try the recovery page above. If neither works, email me — I can look the purchase up against Stripe by hand and send the key directly.

I want a refund

Email me within thirty days and say so. No questions, no form, no justification needed. The money goes back to the card you paid with, and Stripe takes a few days to show it. Details are in the terms.

The app records silence

AirCheck captures your Mac's own output, so make sure sound is actually playing through the output device you selected, and that the correct device is chosen in AirCheck's own picker rather than only in System Settings. If you are recording from an external interface, check that the channel pair you picked is the one carrying signal. If it still comes out silent, email me the model of your interface.

macOS will not open the app

AirCheck is signed and notarised, so Gatekeeper should let it through normally. If you see a warning anyway, right-click the app and choose Open, which gives you an Open button the plain double-click does not offer.

Can I use it on more than one Mac?

Yes. Your licence covers every Mac you personally own or control. Use the same key on each one.

Requirements

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel. No loopback driver, no kernel extension and no additional software is needed.

Feature requests and bugs

Both go to the same address, and both are genuinely welcome. AirCheck is small enough that a good suggestion can be in the next build within a week. If you have hit a bug, telling me what you did just before it happened is worth more than a crash log.
